Dean-O

Last week, we took the dogs to "Cosmo" dog park. (It's supposedly one of the greatest dog parks in the country and it happens to be in Chandler) And when we got home, Dean was limping. The next day he was really sick so we took him to a vet and the vet kind of freaked us out with what might be wrong with the pup?!? To make a long story short...he's doing much better now and is able to walk with all four legs. :) He is the cutest puppy dog ever. :)

He's 50!!!

Last night we celebrated my Dads 50th Birthday. It was a very fun night. There was great food, great friends, and a great surprise at the end of the night. Who knew that Marlyn Monroe was coming??? We had the party catered my El Molinito's. It was really good. My dad was even serenaded by a man with a guitar. (We know that secretly he enjoyed it!) He received lots of fun gifts from friends and family. One of my favorites was the bald man's head comb...given by the Redfords. Here are some pictures from the night. For some reason Kristen and I were a little picture crazy. So you'll see quite a few pictures of us. Here are some of the pics that we took...but look to Robin's blog for the bulk of all the fun pictures. :)

Wedding Fun

John's cousin Jala (pronounced like Sheila but with a J) got married over the weekend. John was the photographer which naturally made me the hair and make-up girl for the bride. Jala looked beautiful of course. :) Taking pictures was interesting because the groom was a hard core cowboy and his cowboy hat kept getting in the way and wanting to blow in the wind. Also... for some reason the sprinklers were randomly on so it was tricky trying to figure out how to move the bride and groom around so that they wouldn't get wet...I actually ended getting wet. lol I think that I about know every picture opportunity there is to have at the Mesa AZ Temple. Here are some pictures from the day.

Yes on 102

Take the time and watch it...

This video is devastating proof of the impact to families in California if Proposition 8 fails (which is Prop 102 in Arizona). Indoctrinating kids against the parents' will....it's happened in Massachusetts, it will happen in CA (& AZ). This issue will affect everyone. Please feel free to forward this to anyone you know.

Random Pics

I thought that I'd lost my digital camera and I was kind of sad about it. I was going through a box last night that still hasn't been unpacked and I found it!!! I haven't had it for probably about a year. Here are some random pictures that were on my camera. Enjoy!

Kentucky Fried Chicken

Last night I was in the mood for some Kentucky Fried Chicken. I found a restaurant next to our house and placed an order...then someone tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Sorry miss, we are all out of chicken tonight." I thought it was a joke so I started laughing. It wasn't a joke though. Kentucky Fried Chicken was really out of chicken.

If You Like Bambi You Might Not Want To See This

John got drawn to hunt elk this hunting season. He left last Wednesday and got back yesterday.(Tuesday) I was going crazy without him here. On Sunday after church, I decided to go up to Woodruff to go and visit. I was able to get Monday off of work as well which was way nice. Anyway to make a long story short...John hadn't been able to get an elk the whole week and thought it would be fun to take me out hunting along with his brother. We woke up at 1:30 am and left for the mountains. I of course slept most of the way there and when they were getting ready to get out of the car and go hunting...I decided to stay in the car because for 1...my hiking boots were already giving me issues and 2...I was still really really tired. So I stayed in the car and had a really odd dream about a Sarah Kane script that I'd been reading through. All of a sudden the truck door flew open and we had to go and load an elk that John shot. It was really cool...yet really gross all at the same time. I think that the pictures explain it all.
