Last Saturday was my baby shower!!!  It was a lot of fun.
There are tons of photos!
Here are some of the decorations...
Here is Little Larry...he got to eat lunch because he helped set up...lol

Kristen, Mom, and I...
Pam and I
Daniel and Susie...
After the shower, we came home to relax.  Kristen thought it was entertaining that I was using by belly as a table for my bowl...lol
My Grandma Shipley and Dad made a guacamole blankie.  Too cute!
Kristen was excited to drive John's truck...
Here we are at Nando's.  Kristen needed to have real Mexican food before she went back home!
It was a really fun weekend.  :)

Conference News

Yesterday at Conference, it was announced that Tucson is going to be getting a Temple.  Super Exciting!  I remember as a youth taking early morning temple trips up to Mesa.  It's weird that the youth in Tucson won't have to do that anymore.  Congrats to Tucson!
(Clearly this isn't the Tucson Temple...but it is the Gilbert Temple which we are super excited about!)

Some more exciting news is that the Church has decided to change the age that missionaries are able to go out and serve missions.  For boys, it is now 18 and for girls 19.  I think this is great.  It's awesome that our Prophet receives modern day revelation.

September Lamaz Classes

Every Monday night in September, John and I were able to attend Lamaz classes.  It was interesting, fun, and long all at the same time.  It was interesting because the class helped explain what will happen during labor/how to count contractions/how to be calm...etc. It was fun becuase John had to massage my back and practice breathing techniques.  It was long becuase it went from 6-9 pm.  I guess they normally have shorter length classes, but had to combine a class with the rest of the classes.  The class was great and I'm glad we took it together.

John the Chef

Food! John made it. Everyone ate it. -John
I am having issues with blogger and John had to help me figure out how to format a pic (I'm on the laptop).
Anyway...John made breakfast this morning and was quite creative. He made homemade muffins with fruit in the middle and a fruit  palm tree scene.  It was a nice surprise to wake up to.   We enjoyed it!

Painting the Baby's Room

This weekend we started with the Baby's room.  My parents came up from Tucson to help with the project and to celebrate the big 30!!!  Thanks to my mom, we have pictures to document the weekend.  I'm not sure what is up with my camera, but it's not working.
Here we are at Home Depot looking at wood stain colors.  I am the most indecisive person ever when it comes to picking out colors for my house.  I probably drive John crazy!
Here is my dad painting the room tan.  Out of all my color options, I went with a tan color. Actually I picked out a sandy tan color and hen they started painting the wall, it started looking pink (told you I'm horrible at picking out colors...lol).  Needless to say a second trip was made to Home Depot to get different paint.
Here I am with my Saturday morning no make-up happy face.  I didn't really know my mom was going to take this pic and send it to all of her friends (sorry if you received this frightening pic of me..ha).

Here is John with his fire toy (I'm not sure what it is called).  He is firing wood to make a fence in the baby's room.  our theme is Cowboy. It is going to look amazing when it is finished!!!

Babies R Us

So after our Home Depot adventure, my mom and I left the boys to the room and had our own adventure for the day.  Started with breakfast and Paradise Bakery.  Yum!

Then we went to Babies R Us to get registered. Target was done last week. I became a little trigger happy with the scanner...ha  I probably need to go and revise what I have on my registry.

It was a fun morning and I'm glad my mom could be there.  After Babies R Us, we dropped off some stamps at Hilary's and then went shopping at the Chandler Mall.

Oregano's

We went to Oregano's for my Birthday!  It was a lot of fun.  Man they give you a ton of food.  My meal has lasted me for 3 meals so far...ha
Thanks mom and dad for the fun night!
