So last night, our 2 dogs Charles and Jack decided to go on a little joy ride around the neighborhood. We are having a neighbor boy mow our lawn for the summer and he left the back gate open. I went to let them in at around 10:30 pm and they were nowhere to be seen. Apparently they were roaming the neighborhood for a couple of hours. I of course was freaking out, and trying to hold my composure. Luckily a family 2 streets over found them and they were chillin in their backyard. This morning I double checked to make sure the gate was closed (I think it will be a habit from now on). We are happy they are both safe and sound. :)
