Christmas Pictures

This year, we spent Christmas down in Tucson. We had a lot of fun. On Christmas Eve, we went to Mama's Pizza with my Grandparents and Darl and Becky's family. Then we went to my parents home and opened some gifts. On Christmas Day, we had a nice meal with my parents and then went back up to Phoenix so that we could open our gifts here. Here are some of the pictures we took of Christmas this year. For some reason I can not find any pictures of Kristen. Sorry. :(

Our House Lights.

Well it is our first year at the house and we did not put too many lights up but we think it looks good. John has been excited for Christmas/Santa Claus/Reindeer Hunting season, for a while now. The front of our house is where the kids meet for the bus stop so we will see what the reaction will be in the neighborhood. John swears the AZ Game and Fish Department gave him a hunting tag for this, so apparently it is all legal. I just don't see us getting many steaks or jerky out this one but I guess with enough pepper or BBQ sauce you can eat most anything. I heard Larry was thinking about putting in to go hunting next year. Robin, this is what you have to look forward to. :) John says, "yummy Bambi!"

Christmas Lights

We have had quite a fun weekend. On Friday, we had Scott come and stay the night along with his friend. (also named Scott) They were on their way to Las Vegas to go and watch U of A basketball. It's weird to see how much Scott has grown. He's like a little college person now. It's cute. :) On Saturday...John and I spent most of the day Christmas baking. John helped make some pies and I did the rest. It was fun. Then Saturday night, we met up with Kristen and Nick at the Christmas lights at the Temple. The lights were so pretty this year. My favorite display is the three wise men out in front of the Temple. After we did the Christmas lights...we went to a place called Thai Basil. This is now Kristen's favorite restaurant and she wants everyone to go now!!!

"Don't Celebrate"... said the man behind us!!!

Last night we went to the ASU vs. U of A football game. ASU lost miserably. It was a sad day. :( It was still a lot of fun being with family. We did however have an obnoxious fan sitting right behind us. He was a U of A fan and he was completely wasted before the game had even started. He had a very low voice and kept screaming, "Don't Celebrate" every time that ASU had the ball. It got so bad that I thought that it would be funny if I yelled out the same thing...so I did and it didn't go over too well...oops!!! The intoxicated man was not in any way amused. Needless to say...I was a little more quiet the rest of the evening. :)

Happy Thanksgiving

This year Thanksgiving was a lot of fun. John and I spent Thanksgiving together up in Phoenix this year. We woke up in the morning too find out that our nephew Caleb was in the hospital. We were able to visit him on the Phoenix Children's hospital in the morning. In the afternoon...John made a chicken with potatoes...and I made the stuffing. Sometimes I feel spoiled. Good thing John is a great cook!!! Then on Friday, we went down to Tucson. John went shooting with the boys. They had a fantastic time. I went to the mall with my mom and we did some Christmas shopping. Mom bought the cutest pair of jeans from Eddie Bauer. They are flared. :) Then on Saturday, the boys went golfing and I went to the salon do to some things to my hair. Then Saturday night we came back up to Phoenix and spent some more time with John's family. We were having fun with the Wii. I made Corn Chowder with my sister-in-law. It was really yummy. Then today...we went to church and now we are relaxing for a few hours before we need to get to bed. Hope that everyone had a nice Thanksgiving weekend. :)

What A Long Week

This has been a super long week for me and I'm glad that it's the weekend. John and I woke up bright and early today and went and got some produce from a place called Harvest. It's really cool. It's a community surplus food place. John heard about it at work. We ran into the family that John home teaches. After we went to the produce place...we took the dogs to the dog park. That was fun. Those dogs have sooo much energy when they get around other dogs. Then I went to the LDS bookstore to get CTR rings for my Primary class. Did you know that the make your fingers turn green CTR rings are $1.50 per ring?!? For some reason I thought they were less expensive. Where have I been I guess??? Anyway this evening... John washed and vacuumed the cars and I did homework...and then we made dinner together with the produce that we got from earlier this morning. John and I were discussing our favorite fruits and vegetables and John noticed that I didn't have too many. I'm not really big on fruits and vegetables. I'm going to try and do better though. Hey...I had a salad tonight. That rarely happens. Anyway...I am very tired and can't wait to go to bed tonight. Here's us looking tired. :)

I was looking through some pictures and found some of a camping trip that our family went on. They made me laugh...so here they are.

This picture is funny because it was the first camping trip of Kristen and Nick being married. Their first night there, they slept on a tarp.

Here's a picture of Alexis and myself. Alexis is crazy. This was the trip when John kept scaring her with the nasty crawdads.

Dean-O

Last week, we took the dogs to "Cosmo" dog park. (It's supposedly one of the greatest dog parks in the country and it happens to be in Chandler) And when we got home, Dean was limping. The next day he was really sick so we took him to a vet and the vet kind of freaked us out with what might be wrong with the pup?!? To make a long story short...he's doing much better now and is able to walk with all four legs. :) He is the cutest puppy dog ever. :)

He's 50!!!

Last night we celebrated my Dads 50th Birthday. It was a very fun night. There was great food, great friends, and a great surprise at the end of the night. Who knew that Marlyn Monroe was coming??? We had the party catered my El Molinito's. It was really good. My dad was even serenaded by a man with a guitar. (We know that secretly he enjoyed it!) He received lots of fun gifts from friends and family. One of my favorites was the bald man's head comb...given by the Redfords. Here are some pictures from the night. For some reason Kristen and I were a little picture crazy. So you'll see quite a few pictures of us. Here are some of the pics that we took...but look to Robin's blog for the bulk of all the fun pictures. :)
