Our First Talk
Today was the first talk that John and I have ever had to give in a ward. I guess our last ward didn't want to hear what we had to say. lol I think that we did pretty well. All of the old ladies kept coming up to me wanting a copy of John's poem he used. (it's the poem about the TV Guide vs the Scriptures) Today was also the first Sunday for my Primary class. I teach the 5-6 year olds. They are pretty cute. They call me "Sister Boa". It's really funny.

Charles The Hefer
Charles is getting so big. He now weighs 51 pounds. Yikes. We were getting worried about him because he wasn't eating his food this past week, yet he seemed to be gaining weight. John went outside this morning to take out the recycling and lo and behold, Charles was in the shed helping himself to the whole bag of dog food. It was classic. One of his favorite things to do this summer is play in the sprinkler and drink from the hose. We even gave him a baby pool to swim in so he can cool off. He won't just relax in the pool... He has to get a running start and then jump into it. Then he gets out, dries off, and repeats the process. It's quite comical. He's so determined. We love our Charles. He's such a good boy.

New Do
Here are some pictures of Alexis. It looks like she has a new do. Here is part of Alexis's email to me. In her last email she kept using the word "flog" and I had no clue what she was talking about... Here is her response, "Flog means stood up." Now I get it. Here is what Alexis says about her recent investigators, "We had a rough week last week. We dropped two of our main investigators.... Joyce knows it is true and how important it is to be baptized, but she can't commit to the commandments...word of wisdom, chastity issues. and Vaughn...he is just nuts. SOOOO me and Ault (my companion) are back to square one." It sounds like she is having an interesting time over in England. She seems to be doing great. Keep up the good work Alexis!!!

Dog and House
Last night, I was playing around with the camara. So this blog is mostly going to be pictures of our new home and of our cutsie dog Charles. First...we will start with Charles. Look how little he used to be. John and I have had fun teaching him tricks. He can even high five. :) Ok...now on to the house. Here are some pictures of the front of the house. I'm proud of John for keeping the grass growing green. He works very hard on the front and back yard and I appreciate it. There are also some pictures of the bathroom that I took.

NBA
I was going through some pictures and found a cute one of John and I at a Suns game recently. Although we would have loved the Suns to win the NBA Championship, we are glad that the Celtics won it. We are both also glad that the LA Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs lost, as they are not our favorite teams. Hopefully the Suns will take the championship next year.

Fun Weekend
This weekend has been fun. John and I went up to Woodruff for multiple reasons. We had a mutual friend named Katie who got married in the Snowflake Temple. John was the photographer...which made me the hair and dress girl for all the photos. I didn't mind though. :) The temple sealing was beautiful. (of course) We also finally got to meet our new little nephew named Wyatt. He is too cute. He is sooo little. These were the two main reasons we were in Woodruff this weekend. We also did some additional fun things while we were here. One morning, we were wide awake and couldn't sleep so we went out and ended up hanging out with some of John's family's cows. I had no clue that the Bowler family had cows. Go figure...MOOOO!!! We also had fun with Charles out here. We let him go swimming in the little swimming hole in Woodruff and he loved it. He looked like a little sea otter.

Fun Times
John and I have had such a busy week so far. And it's far from over. Tonight we had the missionaries come over. It was a lot of fun. The missionaries are having a zone conference this week, so we fed 4 of the elders. I have never made so much food before. I broke out some of my big pot and pans from our wedding and finally used them. :) This weekend, John and I are going up to Snowflake for a wedding and then staying the weekend in Woodruff because our nephew Wyatt is being blessed. We are sooo excited to finally meet him.

June Bug
I can't believe that it's June already. Where has this year gone? It's almost the holidays...ok, not quite the holidays, but you have to admit that this year is going by super quick. Today was fast Sunday and our church meets at 2 in the afternoon. By the time that we got out, we were starving. I'm not usually very hungry on fast Sundays, but today I wanted to eat my arm off. John was concerned. We had a good meal planned for dinner tonight, but when we got home, we ended up heating up some leftovers and called it good. 2 o'clock for church is way too late. I can't wait until we switch over. John and I have been invited to speak in church on the 5th Sunday in June. If any of you want to come, let me know and I'll get tickets. Just kidding about the tickets. :)
